I’ve walked by Po Dog a million times, as it’s right across the street from the Seattle University campus. Recently I had a break in between classes and thought I should wander over there for some pre-night class dinner. Po Dog specializes in pretty elaborate hot dogs, and for the most part, not for the health-conscious. My friend got a hot dog topped with Mac and Cheese, while I went for the Dub-T Dog, aka cheese sauce, crushed potato chips, ketchup, and moustard.

I thought it was overall really good, exactly what you’d expect it to be. The hot dog itself was decent, no major fillers or anything as far as I could tell. I really liked the chips on top, it added a good crunch and made the whole thing just seem even more sinful to the cheating dieter. The only down side is that as a Calgarian, I couldn’t help but compare to Tubby Dog, where the hot dogs are bigger, the toppings more outrageous, and overall it’s more of an experience. However, for Seattle, even though this place is tame, they do make a good hot dog.
